I became a widow at 41. We had only known each other 4 years. I am now 74, married again after quite a number of years. What you said about only being held back by anger and resentment is really true, but those things are real and must be experienced, I think, in order to be able to let them go. I have created my own journey of healing because no matter what, I reach out, but I must say, it is only very recently that I’ve found in this case through Substack a new group, no, new groups of peers I was unable to reach before. Thank you, Marilyn. I, too, had plenty of angry moments but I was also able to let them go, thankfully. Maybe we bring our pre-grief tendencies to this experience as well. And I'm grateful that both of us were able to experience love again.
